Mr. Cookie Baker

I love all of these books by Monica Wellington. I'm not usually one to try the recipe that is at the end of a kid's story book (story to come later), but I'm always on the hunt for a perfect sugar cookie recipe. Let me know if you have one. This one is quite tasty and the book is fun. Check it out.

For Valentine's day I usually make my kids teacher's sugar cookie flower arraingments. This recipe makes a "strong yet soft" cookie durable to be up on a stick.

4 c. sifted flour
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp.salt
1 1/2 c. softened butter
1 1/2 c. sugar
2 eggs
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 Tbsp. Milk

In large bowl mix dry ingredients. In second bowl use hand mixer to cream the butter and sugar. Mix in eggs and vanilla while batter is light. Slowly add flour mixture. Mix in Milk.
Refigerate minimum 2 hours up to overnite. Bake 350 for 10-12 min.
