I LOVE LOVE LOVE all these retro apron styles I've been seeing. Deseret Book has been selling some too. That should be a fairly simple thing to sew if you don't know how to sew, right? Pioneer Woman had a link to some on her website too I think. Her friend was wearing one on her cooking blog. It had ruffles on it I think.
Jamie- Yeah, I'm thinking that my envisioning of how simple making this would be is not quite accurate. Especially if it involves a pattern. I've never really sewn anything from a pattern I didn't make up out of my head.ii I saw the ruffley one on pioneer woman... very cute. Ruffles?!? Not normally my style and WAY over and beyond my sewing capabilities.
I made a bunch of aprons for one of Lydia's birthday parties. Just kind of held the cloth up to her to get the size and then made a piece of cardboard cutout for the template. It was really easy. But they weren't exactly retro and stylish. I have a cute apron that was my Grandma's . It has buttons though and would be too difficult for me to make.
