Lead Toys and Good Parenting

Good parents that we are, we took advantage of all the Chinese made toys with lead in them to try to scare our nearly six year old daughter from chewing on nearly everything she comes in contact with. Unfortunately it has backfired. She still puts everything in her mouth, THEN remembers she wasn't supposed to, and comes to us crying, thinking she's eaten lead and is going to die. So we haven't broken her of a bad habit, and we've instilled in her a sense of paranoia.
